Pipers Strings Play at the Tomohawk festival, Brittany

The Pipers Strings and friends enjoyed a successful tour of Brittany from the 7th to the 12th of September 2017 culminating with a powerful performance to a capacity crowd at the Tomahawk music festival in Querrien.  The tour started with a lively pub session in Le Stade, Querrien with the Pipers Strings and accompanying musicians.  The next date was at the Galway Bar in Lorient to a packed crowd.  On the night the Pipers Strings were joined by musicians Patricia, Louise and Patrick.  The tour highlight was on the main stage at the Tomahawk music festival the following Sunday.  The concert lasted an hour and was very well received by the crowd who even demanded an encore.  A great session was had on the final night in another local Querrien bar.  It was well attended by both local and visiting musicians, listeners and friends.  All in all it was a terrific tour, and many thanks for the great work in organizing this trip both from a Dunmore and Querrien side.  Special thanks to Tommy Howley and Paul Bryon who managed much of the planning and logistics.  Big thank you to Patrick De Ninez, band agent and host for the big concert also long term friend to Dunmore.  Also, special thanks to all the host families in and around Querrien who shared their homes, cars and time with all the visitors.
